WWW: In general, you’ve made an excellent start – your
advert analysis is particularly high quality and you’ve shown already you’ve
got good analytical skills. This is a great sign! I also like that you’re
talking about your passion for editing. Your institution work is detailed too.
EBI: This is a strange one – the work you’ve done is
impressive but you are missing two pieces of work: the media consumption audit
and an analysis of your own advert. I’m assuming this is down to a lack of
organisation rather than trying to avoid work because everything else you’ve
done is high quality. However, organisation IS a major part of Media – managing
major coursework projects is a challenge and you must make it a priority to
improve this aspect of your work.
LR: Firstly, complete and post the two missing pieces of
work. Next, reflect on your first month of AS Media. What is your strongest
piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge
do you need to develop over the rest of the course?
LR, response: My best work would probably most likely be the 50 cent and a pick from my own advert analysis, partially due to the fact that analysing is sometimes sort of my "speciality", and all these ideas spring to my head, but not always.
